Position Overview
As Sanitation & Sustainability / General Maintenance Worker at Cabot Cape Breton, you will play a vital role in maintaining the resort's waste management and sustainability efforts, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and that Cabot’s sanitation standards operates in line with industry standards. This position will also entail supporting Cabot’s maintenance team with minor repairs, ongoing projects and other daily tasks. Your responsibilities include regular collection of refuse and recycling waste from various point throughout property, ensuring deficiencies in compliance are reported to relevant managers and consistently working to ensure Cabot Cape Breton continues to minimize its carbon footprint and enhancing its sustainability efforts. Attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work efficiently are essential qualities for this role. By contributing to the overall upkeep and appearance of the resort, you will create a positive environment for both guests and colleagues, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience at Cabot Cape Breton.

Preferred qualifications and skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in Sustainability and Sanitation preferred.
- Strong understanding of provincial waste management guidelines
- Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety processes and regulation
Requirements of the role you should be aware of:
- Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
