Position Summary
The Strategic Analytics Lead serves as a liaison between the analytics team and business partners across the PGA TOUR Superstore organization. This role aligns analytics initiatives with business objectives, delivering insights that address challenges and uncover opportunities. The manager will design analytical frameworks, translate complex questions into actionable insights, and support both ongoing and ad-hoc reporting needs. Success requires the ability to analyze large data sets, distill findings into clear narratives, and communicate them effectively to senior leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze large and complex data sets using a variety of tools and methodologies.
- Develop analytical models and translate them into automated dashboards, user-friendly tools, or clear executive-ready deliverables (decks, one-pagers).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define needs, deliver insights, and present high-quality data solutions.
- Conduct data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Design, implement, and manage A/B testing frameworks to evaluate initiatives and optimize outcomes.
- Provide end-user support through proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to address complex business challenges and guide strategic decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- MBA/Master’s in Analytics or Statistics preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in business analytics, data science, or a similar role.
- Extensive experience with a modern data visualization tool, including the ability to create complex reports and dashboards. (Power Bi experience preferred).
- Expertise in SQL with experience in complex data transformation and translating open-ended business questions into queries and insights.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language. (Python experience preferred).
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Proven experience with a modern cloud data warehousing platform. (Snowflake experience preferred).
- Working knowledge in building business cases.
- Experience in optimizing KPI metrics and A/B Testing.
- Retail experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
- Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
