Position Summary
The Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions. This role bridges the gap between the Business Enablement Manager, Engineers and stakeholders, utilizing a deep understanding of both technical domains and project management methodologies to navigate challenges and drive project completion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program Ownership: Build and manage delivery plans (milestones, dependencies, risks, budgets) across parallel workstreams.
- Planning & Prioritization: Facilitate quarterly and sprint planning; align teams to strategic initiatives/overall goals, capacity, and critical path.
- Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on technical decision-making and problem-solving, ensuring the use of best practices and innovative solutions in project execution.
- Execution Management: Drive standups, demos, retros; remove blockers; ensure change control.
- Stakeholder Communication: Produce clear status comms and executive readouts; escalate with options and impact.
- Quality & Readiness: Coordinate UAT, cutover, and launch checklists; ensure training, support, monitoring, and rollback plans.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee SOWs, SLAs, and deliverables; manage partner performance and integration timelines.
- Financials: Track actuals vs. forecast; surface variances; support business cases and benefits realization.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure security/privacy, accessibility, and policy adherence; partner with InfoSec on reviews.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze delivery metrics; implement playbooks and ways-of-working improvements.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). PMP, CSM, or SAFe a plus.
- 6+ years delivering technology initiatives (e-commerce, retail systems, ERP, POS, OMS, CRM, or MarTech preferred).
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations.
- Strong command of delivery methods (Agile/Scrum, Kanban, and scaled frameworks) and traditional project controls.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills (from engineers to executives).
- Proficient with Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence/SharePoint, and standard reporting tools.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
This role is based in our vibrant, collaborative office five days a week, with flexibility to accommodate family and life commitments when needed.
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
- Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
Travel:
- Up to 10% of travel is required.
