The Front End Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining various websites and systems associated with Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament Foundation. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Technology, the holder of this position will interface closely with product managers and designers (both internal and external) and with the different departments within Augusta National, to create digital experiences of the quality and consistency befitting the Masters Brand.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Augusta, GA.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Responsible for the maintenance and improvement of multiple websites across various CMS types (most notably WordPress).
- Participates in the programming, testing, and documentation of new websites and services.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Designers to create cohesive experiences that fit the Masters and associated brands.
- Maintains development standards including documentation, version control, and other items.
- Documents and maintains regular software upgrade schedules to ensure maximum system availability and reliability.
- Stays current on technology applicable to our software applications.
- During championship events, ensures operability and uptime of all applicable systems and provides immediate support for any issues that arise.
- Responsible for other development tasks and duties as assigned.
- Maintain the strict confidentiality of Augusta National Golf Club, its staff and membership, and all aspects of the business.

Qualifications:
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with multiple different teams, technical and otherwise
- Creative problem-solving with a focus on creating new, unique experiences, while managing day-to-day operations
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and modern development systems
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.
- Experience building front ends for non-web related products is a plus
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to translate business requirements into solutions
- Some experience with software development methodologies including Agile
- Ability to handle multiple priorities through effective organization and communication
- Ability to maintain composure and focus while working in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and workload in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
- Strong self-motivation, disciplined problem solver
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Knowledge of the rules and scoring of golf are a bonus but not required
Relative Experience/Education:
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
- Two to four years of experience working as an applications developer
- Any training and/or certifications applicable to this position are a plus
Required License(s):
- Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program
Projected Work Schedule:
Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
