Summer Intern – Industrial Hygiene
PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Intern for the summer that will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Department in the development and organization of the facility’s Industrial Hygiene (IH) program. This position requires the intern to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area.
Supervisor Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager
(This position will work 40 hours per week)
Prospective projects include:
- Drafting a comprehensive Industrial Hygiene Program that outlines key responsibilities, sampling protocols, and exposure control measures.
- Organizing historical and current industrial hygiene reports to ensure accessibility and data consistency.
- Creating a risk matrix dashboard summarizing completed IH studies to help visualize potential exposure risks and prioritize follow-up actions.
- Assisting in conducting IH studies, including field sampling, data collection, and preliminary analysis, under the guidance of the EHS team.
Learning Outcomes:
- Hands-on experience in program development, data management, and exposure assessment while contributing to the overall improvement of the company’s occupational health initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years course work in Industrial Hygiene or related field.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of Power BI preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, self-start and hit deadlines.
- Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects.
- Ability to make presentations to Management.
- Excellent attendance.
