PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Soft Goods Design Manager that will oversee the companywide soft goods design initiatives within the Soft Goods Department. This position is responsible for designing products and overseeing the company’s resources to ensure a smooth flow of new designs and a cohesive design language for all PING soft goods products. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL:
- Manage, design and support efforts for all new products based on existing proven development concepts, design knowledge as well as companywide inputs.
- Be responsible for personal soft goods projects as part of team delivering fully designed products consistent with company and market needs.
- Be responsible for the mentoring, motivation, management, and development of direct reports to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth.
- With the other Soft Goods Managers, jointly responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the Soft Goods Design Team’s working relationship with other disciplines within the company.
- Under the guidance of the Director of Soft Goods Design & Development, responsible for supporting and reviewing the Design Group’s budget.
- Participate in and assist direct reports in the design review process with Executive Management.
- Be responsible for remaining current within area of expertise, including management skills, not only relative to industry, but in relation to known published advances in the pertinent specific body of knowledge.
- Develop and maintain design standards, material libraries, and technical specifications.
- Ability to travel domestic and international travel as required.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a properly accredited college or university in Industrial Design or Science discipline, plus a minimum eight years’ directly related work experience, at least two years of which must be in a supervisory and/or team management role; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud Proficiency, specifically with Illustrator. Moderate to Advanced 3D modeling proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and team skills with the proven ability to build consensus.
- Excellent technical writing skills, ability to convey complex concepts in a simple fashion.
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to manage, focus and lead large or small cross-disciplinary business meetings.
- Proven ability to coordinate a very high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
- Strong organization, time management and recordkeeping skills.
- Expert level of computer literacy of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, and SharePoint.
- Must possess intimate familiarity with PING, Inc. product line, the game of golf and the Golf Industry.
