Manager, Product Strategy and Category Management- Pickleball

About the Role:
Callaway Golf is ready to bring its innovation and performance-driven DNA to a new arena: pickleball. We're looking for a passionate, experienced, and entrepreneurial Manager of Product Strategy & Category Management to help lead our entry into the rapidly growing pickleball paddle market. This is a rare opportunity to build a new category from the ground up combining your love of the game with deep experience in product creation and go-to-market excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development of Callaway’s pickleball paddle category from white space analysis through commercialization.
- Drive product roadmaps and innovation strategy based on consumer insights, competitive benchmarking, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and sourcing teams to shape paddle construction, materials, and aesthetics that reflect Callaway’s DSPD approach to products.
- Own go-to-market planning, including positioning, packaging, pricing, channel strategy, and launch execution.
- Partner closely with marketing, sales, and athlete/ambassador teams to build energy and credibility in the sport.
- Analyze category performance and consumer trends to guide ongoing product evolution and portfolio strategy.
Qualifications:
- Passionate pickleball player (recreational or competitive
- 3+ years of experience (preferred) in product strategy, category management, or product marketing. Preferably in sporting goods or performance-driven consumer products.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and launch innovative, successful products.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguity and build something from scratch.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a deep consumer-first approach.
- Experience in paddle sports (tennis, padel, pickleball, etc.)
- Previous experience launching a new product category or brand (preferred)
