The Annual Giving Lead is responsible for the development and execution of the annual giving program. This role will be focused on strategy development and implementation of annual appeals for program pillars, sustaining monthly giving programs, giving circles, programmatic affinity groups, and implementation of direct marketing efforts. This role will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Portfolio Management
Manage the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual fund prospects from all channels including events, in person, and digital. Increase acquisition and retention rates through a compelling and informative donor experience.
Manage all aspects of the giving process, from donor/prospect acquisition to online appeals that generate revenue for the Foundation.
Develop and test new initiatives and innovative annual campaigns to drive fundraising outcomes.
Collaborate with development team members to identify and qualify new prospects and accurately track them in the Salesforce CRM database.
Use data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of portfolio strategies.
Ensure all transactions related to annual giving are accurately tracked and managed in Salesforce.
Oversee the creation of solicitation and acknowledgment letters.
Oversee the program budget and perform the ongoing tracking of expenses and revenue.
Serve as the liaison to the Finance Department to ensure records reconcile with accounting records
Manage backend system testing for digital development campaigns, ensuring transactions flow
through established data sources. Lead all digital development infrastructure troubleshooting with proper stakeholders.
Reconcile campaign results for use with donors, board members, and the finance team.
Reporting
Define, track, analyze, and report on metrics and analytics to consistently understand the health of the programs. This includes ensuring compliance by analyzing current use fund activity and providing appropriate communications about the fund and reports to leadership.
Sustain donor relations by partnering with the development team to create donor-specific impact reports and additional cultivation, request, and stewardship materials.
Produce annual fund reports, both printed and digital. Work with the digital marketing team to produce regular communications, newsletters, and proposals for PGA REACH Trustees and major donors, and prospects.
Devise and use consistent, accurate, and appropriate information-sharing mechanisms for stewarding prospects and donors, including Salesforce or other software unique to national program implementation, endowed fund awarding, impact report information acquisition, and others as appropriate.
Execute a collaborative fundraising plan with the sections, and build and use a regular mechanism for reporting campaign results to local sections.
Annual Fund Plan
Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team to create and manage a comprehensive fundraising plan and appeal schedule for annual giving.
Set dollar, participation, and qualitative goals for the program.
Drive strategy for the development and execution of a calendar of multidimensional appeals that leverage a variety of media to communicate with potential and current donors.
Drive strategy for the development and execution of a calendar of events that engage donors, hold them close to the mission of the organization and elevate their giving.
Track the progress of appeals to determine effectiveness and ROI.
Conduct regular segmentation and data analyses to help inform new strategies for activating donors.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for the preparation and oversight of the Annual Campaign budget and for monitoring results.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
5 years of demonstrated development/fundraising experience, consistently meeting or exceeding fundraising goals in the virtual fundraising environment.
Salesforce experience is a plus.
Understands and embraces mission-based organizations.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge of annual giving and digital fundraising. Must have superb written and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire through written communications and interpret data. Ability to collaborate with centralized administration and communications and create an alignment of purpose, shared philosophies of service, and consistent standards of practice. Ability to manage competing demands. Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts. This includes using AI to enhance business operations and drive innovation, enabling us to better serve our Members and stakeholders. Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs. Cloud-based fundraising software, preferably Salesforce, and experience using data-driven performance-based measures and outcomes. Strong relationship-building ability is a must.
