The PGA Jr. League Competitions Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing all aspects of the PGA Jr. League All-Star Season, including the 13u Championship, 17u Championship, Regional Competitions, Section Championships, All-Star Play Days, and Regional Leaderboard competitions. Success will be measured by strategic growth of PGA Jr. League, increased participation, player and coach satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
13u/17u National Championships
Assist the PGA Jr. League Competitions Leader during the planning and execution of the events.
Attend all site visits and planning meetings.
Work with vendors on ordering signage and other items for the championships.
Lead inside the ropes operations at the 13u and 17u PGA Jr. League Championships.
Be the main point of contact for the on-site Rules Officials.
Regional Competitions
Serve as Tournament Director for select Regional Competitions.
Assist in siting Regional Competitions.
Work with vendors to ensure all player gifts and signage are delivered to the correct locations and arrive on time.
Assist in monitoring the Regional Leaderboard.
Lead the Regional shipment process and communicate tracking information to Tournament Directors.
Ensure all events are set up in Golf Genius.
Section Qualifiers/Championships, All-Star Play Days
Collect information from the Sections on where their PGA Jr. League qualifiers and championships will be.
Serve as the main point of contact for Sections who have any All-Star Season questions.
Monitor the PGA Jr. League Rules Slack channel and answer any questions that arise.
Assist the PGA Jr. League Competitions Leader in any All-Star Season training for the Sections and PEC staff.
Lead the Roster Replacement process.
Assist in creating the on-call schedule for our PGA Jr. League Rules Committee.
General Operation Support
Serve as the account manager and point of contact for program sponsors and partners.
Oversee partner and sponsor activations.
Create and update resource sites for the sections, regional tournament directors, and national championship participants.
Lead Golf Genius trainings.
Oversee Trailer Operations.
Submit POs and invoices.
Support other events of the department, including but not limited to:
Contribute to the strategic plans of the Player Engagement Department.

This is not a supervisory position.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Assist with the development of the annual budget for the Player Engagement department. Contribute to the overall strategy, budget and operations of the Player Engagement department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in sports management, business, professional golf management, marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Four years’ experience in program management and industry, PGA of America and/or PGA Section operations
PGA Professional preferred
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge of the youth sports and golf industries. Strong interpersonal and relationship building with golf/sports industry organizations strongly preferred. Must have a solid understanding of the USGA Rules of Golf with the confidence to apply them at all levels of tournament play, and a willingness to attend a USGA Rules of Golf Workshop as schedule allows. Knowledge of Google Workspace. Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts. This includes using AI to enhance business operations and drive innovation, enabling us to better serve our Members and stakeholders
Ability to travel up to 25%.
