Job Title: Senior Chef
Location: Portmarnock Golf Club
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: €38,000.00 per year
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role and environment
- Experience in a busy kitchen is an advantage
- HACCP training expected
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards in your section, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Handle a wide range of premium food with skill and precision, following our sustainable practices.
- Work directly with the Head Chef and senior management team to brainstorm and develop innovative new dishes and menus.
- Contribute creative ideas for events and seasonal specials.
Supervision & Mentorship:
- Supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Take ownership of your section, managing mise en place and ensuring smooth service.
Stock Management:
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering to ensure minimal waste and maximum freshness.
Hygiene & Safety:
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure all dishes leaving your section meet the club's standards for presentation and taste.
