PRIMARY PURPOSE
To ensure the cleanliness of all bedrooms and public areas working as a part of the Accommodation team. Anticipating guests needs and ensuring that service is provided to the level they require and exceeding their expectations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet and acknowledge the guest according to company standards in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Enters and prepares the room for cleaning.
• Performing a variety of cleaning activities including making the bed, dusting the room and furniture, hoovering the carpets.
• Ensure all rooms are appropriately cleaned as per department standards.
• Replenish amenities according to operational standards.
• Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards.
• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.
• Reports any maintenance issues to Department Manager.
• Responds to guest requests in a timely fashion.
• Maintains Accommodation trolleys.
• Removes rubbish from rooms.
• Always take responsibility for ensuring a positive guest experience.
• To ensure a very good relationship between the Front Office and other departments.
• Responsible for following the standard operating procedures.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested by Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Attend meetings.
- Attend Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links Training.
- Maintain a professional image at all times.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Manage your time effectively and efficiently.
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION
• Previous accommodation experience is ideal.
• Should have good verbal English.
• Should have excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work longer hours as per business demands.
• Be courteous, professional and provide efficient service.
