Position Overview
As Golf Shop Associate, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of Cabot’s retail Golf Shops, connecting our guests with our extensive and exclusive retail apparel and accessories. You greet our guests as soon as they walk through the door and create that authentic personal connection that is the basis of Cabot’s world-class hospitality. You work exceptionally well under pressure and enjoy being part of a fast-paced, multi-faceted operation. With a focus on top tier service, you take pride in exceeding guest expectations and infuse enthusiasm in everything you do. Working together as a team is pivotal to our success here at Cabot Cape Breton. You will be heavily involved with booking, updating and monitoring our golf course’s tee sheet throughout the day, ensuring the Golf Shop is maintained as per Cabot’s cleanliness and appearance standards and maintaining clean, presentable and fully stocked merchandise displays, while working and communicating with other departments to ensure a smooth free flowing guest experience.

Requirements of the role you
should be aware of:
- Based
on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work
with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of
employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
- As
a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve
day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Long
hours moving around, walking, standing, and crouching while performing other
duties is to be expected
- Lifting,
carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving merchandise, and objects up to
50 lbs in weight
- To best perform these responsibilities, employees must be able to communicate face-to-face and, on the phone.
- Constant focus and repetitive work are to be expected
- Based on the nature of this position, you
would experience long periods of guest interactions
