Under the direction of the Senior Manager of HRIS, the HRIS Specialist will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the HRIS (Workday) system, including reporting, testing, and providing general support while maintaining the confidentiality of all Club business. The HRIS Specialist will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of HRIS, to gather requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy Workday solutions for internal usage. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is able to work both independently and as part of a larger team both within HR and the larger organization.
This position is a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday HCM modules, specifically for Tournament hiring and recruitment.
- Partners with the Talent Acquisition Team to capture Tournament hiring initiatives including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, hiring, and termination.
- Ensures accuracy of Tournament hiring data within Workday and proactively identifies and resolves discrepancies.
- Supports the implementation and expansion of additional Workday modules (e.g, Time Tracking, Absence, Advanced Compensation, etc.).
- Oversee the HRIS annual initiatives calendar, ensuring it remains up to date and incorporates new responsibilities as needed.
- Maintains and develops all custom and Workday-delivered business process notifications.
- Assesses, resolves, and acts on tier-one issues through the HRIS Workday Ticketing System. Assigns higher-tiered tickets to the appropriate member of the HRIS team.
- Identifies and eliminates any obsolete configuration within all active Workday modules.
- Assists in the development and testing of Workday Extend applications.
- Verifies the accuracy and maintains the integrity of the database.
- Test, create and distribute documents or tasks to Club employees when requested. Schedules distribution status reports for key stakeholders.
- Ensures smooth and effective operation of processes, programs, and projects.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand and implement business requirements. Provide technical guidance and support to end-users on HCM related topics.
- Develop job aids and training materials for end-users on system functionality and best practices.
- Participate in Workday feature release by testing, validating and implementing new functionalities or enhancements.
- Conducts regular audits of custom reports to ensure accuracy and consistency, maintains standardized nomenclature, applies appropriate report tags, and ensures alignment with reporting best practices.
- Designs and builds custom reports based on business needs, collaborating closely with requestors to ensure data accuracy, relevance, and usability of the final output.
Physical Demands
- Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties such as but not limited to: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
- Occasionally required to walk and work with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds and/or drive a golf cart.

Qualifications:
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
- Understanding of HR business processes and data management.
- Ability to gather requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy Workday solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in developing written materials such as questionnaires, surveys, etc.
- Proficiency in fundamental statistics, research methodologies, data organization, and presentation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to adopt new concepts and drive positive change.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using Windows-based applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Relative Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- 1-2 years of professional work experience required; background in general Human Resources, IT or Consultant field preferred.
- General understanding of HR systems is required, with experience in general human resources practices being preferred.
- Experience with Workday HCM Module is strongly preferred but not required.
Required License(s):
- Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program
Projected Work Schedule:
Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Heavy travel will be required in the fall.
