The Product Development Manager is a pivotal leadership position on the golf ball R&D team thatis responsible forleading a team of technical personnel that integrate innovative technologies into a product that benefits the golfer. This role relies on understanding golfer insights,collaboration and attention to detail to ensure we are meeting performance and launch expectationsacross our golf ball platform. S/he will drive team initiatives that align with our technical roadmap.Our golf ball category is a significant component to the Callaway business and we are seeking a leader that can engage technically with their team,is focused on results and is passionate about developing new products.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Engagement & Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to pull together innovative technologies from the greater team.Understanding and experience in the areas of new materials, aerodynamics, golf ball processing and evaluation of new constructions is beneficial.
Provide appropriate feedback to individuals on an on-going basis to manage performance, and also conduct annual performance reviews, goal setting, and tracking.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Strong statistical skills and understanding with knowledge of basic DOE, SPC, and basic problem-solving tools, including Six-Sigma. Ability to analyze and present complex data in clear and efficient manner.
Working knowledge of the following: Microsoft tools, Matlab, Python, FEA software, and CAD software.
