JOB TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
LOCATION: BURHILL GOLF CLUB, BURWOOD ROAD, WALTON ON THAMES, KT12 4BX
REPORTS TO: HEAD OF SALES / GENERAL MANAGER
SALARY: Basic £38,000 - £40,000 (DOE) Up to £48,000 OTE – uncapped*

A truly unique and charming club, Burhill Golf Club is renowned for its superb golf facilities. It is home to two very different 18-hole championship courses and the proud host events including England Golf and The R&A Open Championship qualifying or Senior Open qualifying.
The club has a large and engaged membership and regularly hosts significant charity and corporate golf days. Its beautiful Georgian clubhouse provides an elegant and prestigious setting for weddings and private functions

What will you do?
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth and create strong commercial partnerships for Burhill Golf Club. Focused on expanding business opportunities, this position is dedicated to developing relationships within the Corporate, Charity, and Group Golf sectors, as well as overseeing key functions such as weddings, life celebrations, corporate meetings, and seasonal events.
By increasing revenue and expanding the customer base, the Business Development Manager will ensure the long-term success of Burhill Golf Ltd, creating sustainable growth for its stakeholders. Additionally, they contribute to the development and support of the club’s sales team, working alongside or stepping in for the Sales Manager when needed.
What do you need?
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Business Development Manager in a premium leisure or hospitality environment - Essential
- Be target driven and have a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets – Essential
- Have experience in generating new business resulting from own pro-activeness - Essential
- Experience in People Management – Essential
- Experience with CRM tools and booking systems - Desirable
- An understanding and a passion for the Golf industry – Desirable
