ABOUT LIV GOLF
The LIV Golf League is the world’s only global golf league featuring 13 teams, a 14-tournament schedule, and many of the world’s best golfers. Launched in 2022, the League was designed to expand the sport on a global level and create new value within the golfing ecosystem while enhancing the game’s societal impact. A landmark investment by LIV Golf also launched The International Series, a set of 10 enhanced events sanctioned by the Asian Tour, with elevated prize funds in world-class destinations, offering a pathway for leading professional and amateur golfers from around the world into the LIV Golf League.

HISTORY
LIV Golf launched in 2022 as an eight-event Invitational Series with tournaments across the U.S., Europe and Asia. 2023 saw the first official season of the LIV Golf League, establishing the sport’s first professional golf teams captained by many of the game’s most decorated superstars competing in 14 events around the world.
The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; three days, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous team and individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 500 million homes worldwide, showcase world-class competition within a family-friendly environment. Music entertainment, live concerts and a festival-style atmosphere play a signature role with LIV Golf, a two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year.
LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. It has also introduced free agency to professional golf, integrating end-of-season player promotion and relegation, team trades and off-season roster movement that drive year-round fan engagement, embraced by many of the world’s most popular sports.
Away from the entertainment on the course, LIV Golf is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of the communities it visits through its ground-breaking social impact and sustainability strategy, ‘Potential, Unleashed.’ Named a 2024 Most Impactful award winner by Front Office Sports for utilising its platform to make a positive impact off the course, the League is committed to giving back and improving the world through golf.
Role objectives
The Director, Procurement will lead LIV Golf’s global procurement strategy, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services that align with the company’s objectives. The role focuses on developing cost-effective procurement processes, building strategic vendor partnerships, and supporting business growth while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a robust global procurement strategy that aligns with LIV Golf's operational and financial goals.
Establish procurement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all regions.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service standards. Oversee procurement budgets, ensuring cost control and optimal allocation of resources.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure the best value for the company. Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to agreed service levels and contractual terms.
Oversee procurement processes for goods and services, including logistics, travel, technology, event planning, and merchandise.
Implement systems to track, measure, and report on procurement performance metrics. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support LIV Golf's operational needs.
Lead and mentor a procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, marketing, events, and operations to understand their procurement needs.
Serve as a key advisor to the EVP, Finance on procurement strategy and initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including sustainability and ethical sourcing standards.
Ensure all procurement activities support LIV Golf’s sustainability strategy and ISO 20121 objectives, including lifecycle costing, sustainable sourcing, and active engagement with responsible suppliers.
Work with the Impact team to provide accurate procurement data and input for sustainability reporting, including carbon tracking, material circularity, and third-party certifications.
Play an active role in embedding best-in-class sustainability principles across procurement processes, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with evolving standards and stakeholder expectations.
Apply strategic insight to ensure procurement decisions contribute to broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives. Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization.
Experience
Minimum of 8-10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of managing procurement in a global organisation, ideally in the sports or events industry.
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
Experience with procurement software and tools to streamline processes. Knowledge of UK and international procurement laws and regulations.
