PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Staff Accountant II position that will perform various accounting duties with minimum supervision, on a timely and accurate basis, as directed by Accounting Management in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and tax laws and regulations. This position will play a more proactive role in developing a stronger accounting department by teaming with the managers to continue to identify new areas for improvement and a means to provide information. May also include supervisory assignments. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL:
- Be responsible for oversight of the Accounts Payable function, including, but not limited to, the management and development of direct reports.
- Review invoice coding and coordinate weekly check runs, ACH and wire payments.
- Interact with various departments throughout the company to determine proper coding and invoice reconciliations.
- Perform quarterly and year-end tasks, including 1099 preparation and unclaimed property filings.
- Participate in the monthly closing process, including the analysis of various reserves and accruals that result from operations analysis and preparation of general journal entries.
- Reconcile month-end assigned accounts to the general ledger and supporting sub-ledger.
- Assist in other Accounting Department responsibilities and willingly handle overflow and/or reassigned tasks in order to ensure the continuity of quality service from Accounting.
- Plan and/or assist in periodic physical inventories, cycle-count audits, other manufacturing cost related tasks, and the preparation of the physical inventory compilation.
- Proactively work with other internal departments (e.g. Legal, Credit, Purchasing, Warehouse, Operations, etc.) and external departments (state governments, IRS 1099) to ensure appropriate accounting and to help resolve common issues in a timely manner.
- Act as a mentor and supervise clerical staff by setting the proper tone and leading by example.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a properly accredited college or university, plus a minimum 4 years’ directly related experience in accounting; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and team skills with the proven ability to build consensus.
- Strong organization, time management and recordkeeping skills.
- A high level of computer literacy of Microsoft Office: Outlook, TEAMS, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Literate in accounting software (MS AX).
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manufacturing or public accounting background. (preferred)
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
