Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Merchandise Execution, the Manager ensures that all merchandising plans, promotions, and product presentations are communicated, executed accurately, on time, and in alignment with brand standards. The manager works cross-functionally with store leadership, visual teams, and operations to create an engaging shopping experience that drives sales and inspires customers. As the merchandising and execution expert for assigned departments, this role is a cross-functional partner that collaborates with Merchandising, Visual, Operations and Learning & Development. The Manager, Merchandise Execution is responsible for providing store feedback, merchandising directives, Learning & Development tools, and impactful communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in monthly and weekly touch bases to ensure alignment between merchandising and stores. Builds collaborative relationships with Field and Store Leadership.
Under the direction of Director, execute all holiday, event, and promotional sets with precision and timeliness to support key selling periods.
Support building seasonal product strategies through surfacing competitive and localization opportunities.
Communicate key market trends, customer insights, and data to support new merchant initiatives or product positioning.
Participate in seasonal product reviews/style outs and coordinate all fixture, floor plan and graphic needs.
In partnership with Merchandise Execution team, responsible for maintaining, communicating, and executing Merchandise Visual Standards for appointed department and specific categories within that department.
In partnership with Merchandise Execution team, responsible for developing, maintaining, communicating, and executing Merchandise Directives for appointed department and specific categories within that department.
Execution of merchandising prototypes and initiatives for major events and effectively communicate to stores.
Partner with Merchants on proactive and timely store communication.
Partner with Operations Department as needed to ensure alignment on store workload planning initiatives or off-cadence communication.
Partner with Visual Team on merchandise directives, fixture, graphic and department price signage needs.
Partner with Learning and Development to create merchandise execution and selling behavior content for The Links, associate training and summit content.
Development and creation of salesfloor reflows, vendor adjacencies and department resets based on annual strategy and vendor changes.
Maintain capacity sheets that correspond back to floor plans for designated department.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field (Relevant work experience can be substituted for the required education).
5 years of experience in a management role. Equivalent to, or higher than, Assistant General Manager experience.
Must have a strong soft goods background which includes at least 3 years of apparel retail experience in addition to merchandise handling, visual merchandising and product processing.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to communicate with co-workers and customers consistently and effectively.
Ability to effectively collaborate and partner with different departments.
Ability to work with executives and leaders across the organization.
Proven aptitude for building relationships, credibility, and trust with internal stakeholders, and creating a harmonious work environment.
Possess the ability to influence with and without direct authority.
Solution-oriented and innovative; can identify creative options that address multiple stakeholders’ needs.
Ability to organize multiple priorities to ensure that key processes and procedures are implemented and that resources are properly allocated to meet organizational goals.

Leadership ability to influence while working with Senior Leadership to facilitate collaborative processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Adobe Programming including Photoshop and Illustrator.
Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
All other items as needed or requested by supervisor.
Golf experience is not necessary.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
Selected projects may require traveling within the local Atlanta market to set merchandise standards
