ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Walk mowing greens and tees
- Operating riding mower equipment
- Raking Bunkers
- Operating small power tools ex: blowers, edger’s, and trimmers
- Hand trimming around sprinklers and valves
- Seeding and sodding
- Filling of divots
- Pulling weeds in maintained and native areas
- Various shoveling and raking projects
- Cleaning of equipment and maintenance areas
- Operating mechanical loaders to move soil, debris, and other materials
- He or she must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Requires ability to safely operate trucks and motorized equipment
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Work extended hours, which includes weekend and holiday shifts
- Must have a friendly and positive personality
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic
- Knowledge about the game of golf preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk frequently; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Ability to perform the duties of this job while exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly.

Summary
This grounds maintenance position reports to the golf course superintendent and/ or the assistant golf course superintendents. The key responsibilities includes all aspects of daily and short term maintenance included but not limited to operating equipment related to mowing golf course putting greens, tees, fairways, and rough. As well as weed eating, raking bunkers, and hand watering.
