Description
The Greenskeeper works collaboratively with all staff members in the maintenance and care of turf equipment to ensure optimal performance and course conditions. This role requires a professional and driven individual who consistently operates with high standards of efficiency and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
· Greens Section Work
· Fix ball marks.
· Mow greens.
· Hand rake bunkers.
· Blow debris.
· Hand rake cart paths.
· Walk mow tees and collars.
· Walk mow rough around greens and bunkers.
· Fill tee and fairway divots.
· Clipping disposal.
· Triplex mow approaches and runoffs.
· Mow fairways.
· Mow primary rough.
· Rotary mow green and tee surrounds.
· Spot water fairways/rough.
· Pump water from the golf course.
· Native work.
· Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
· Demonstrate time management skills, with the ability to complete essential tasks promptly before daily play begins.
· A clear understanding of the operational and performance expectations for turf maintenance equipment, particularly within a high-level private facility.
· Must be motivated by demanding work environment.
· Weekends, holidays, and evening work.
· Valid Driver's License.
· Reliable and predictable attendance is required.
· Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
· Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.
· Ability to lift 50lbs, and to lift overhead and push or pull lighter objects.
· Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
