Assistant Professional
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 Per Year
Total Anticipated Compensation Up To: $55,000.00
Oldfield is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who strives to deliver exceptional customer service. The chosen candidate must assist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional with day-to-day golf operations. Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Maintain an effective working relationship with the entire Golf Operation Team and Club Management
2. Help enforce all the club’s rules and regulations
3. Assist in all areas of the golf operations, including but not limited to:
1. Event Preparation and Execution
2. Merchandising
3. Instruction in Clinic & Private Lesson settings
4. Club Repair
5. Assist with training, recruiting, and hiring outside service members
6. Play Golf with the Membership and Staff
Located in Okatie, SC, less than 15 miles from Hilton Head and 40 miles from Savannah, Oldfield is a Private Residential Community that has the essence of the Lowcountry woven into its fabric. Essential Responsibilities
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Traits Qualifications
1. Maintain professional expertise through related courses and learning opportunities.
2. If a PGA Member, maintain PGA of America membership in good standing and mentor apprentices through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) program
3. If a PGA Apprentice, make steady progress toward completion of PGA membership requirements
4. Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, tournament management, and instruction
5. Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
6. Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

Benefits
1. Salaried Position, pay will be commensurate with experience, base salary $40,000-$45,000 with additional teaching income opportunities upwards of $10,000.
