The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for enhancing employee experience by designing and delivering impactful training curriculum aligned with the organizational needs. This position works closely with the Senior Manager of Learning and Development and will promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. In addition, they will assess training needs, collaborate with cross-functional leaders and HR business partners to develop curriculum, facilitate training programs and measure effectiveness with a focus on continuous improvement. This position will work with our outside vendor partners to ensure alignment with our training needs.
This position is a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Designs, develops and delivers training programs aligned with the Learning and Development strategy.
- Facilitates in-person training in a professional manner.
- Collaborates with leaders across the organization and HR business partners to assess and address training and coaching needs through content development.
- Evaluates internal and external training programs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Delivers a consistent and engaging hospitality experience for employees and guest facilitators during training sessions, events and communications.
- Stays current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development, integrating innovative methods into the organization’s learning strategies.
- Plays a role in building relationships with external partners, vendors and consultants to leverage external expertise and resources when appropriate.
- Brings a strategic mindset, a passion for learning and a proven ability to deliver impactful training solutions.
Physical Demands
- Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties such as but not limited to: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
- Occasionally required to walk and work with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds and/or drive a golf cart.
- Constantly required to sit, sometimes for several hours at a time, and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Qualifications:
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
- Experience in development and delivery of leadership development training programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leadership to develop targeted training solutions.
- Strong facilitation skills, including use of multiple media, clarity of presentation, knowledge of content, ability to connect with a variety of participants and manage participants’ experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in instructional design and ability to develop engaging, learner-centered content using adult learning principles and instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups effectively direct work, delegate responsibilities, persuade and influence others to accomplish objectives.
- Sense of urgency and high attention to detail, promoting open communication and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to assess risks, evaluate options, and choose effective solutions.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.

Relative Experience/Education:
- 5+ years of experience in learning and development.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field required; 7+ years’ direct learning and development experience may be substituted for a formal degree.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs for a variety of audiences, including leadership.
- Certification in instructional design, coaching, or facilitation (e.g., ATD, CPTD, etc.) is a plus.
- Proven experience managing vendor relationships and external learning partners.
Required License(s):
- Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program.
Projected Work Schedule:
Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as programs require. Some travel will be required.
