The Production Intern will be an integral part of the sample season by receiving, organizing, and distributing seasonal samples upon their arrival from the factory. Each day, he or she will send a report detailing the current status of each requested sample to the Production, Design, and Studio teams while also keeping a running document detailing the receipt and distribution of the received samples.
Internship Details:
- Availability: 3–4 hours per day, 4–5 days a week in our RTP office (afternoons preferred, flexible case-by-case).
- Duration: Initial term from October 1 – December 1, with potential to extend.
- Preferred: Candidates graduating within the next 9 months, with at least one prior internship.
- $18.25hr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Organization of samples upon receipt
- Sample documentation
- Sample reporting and shipping (as needed)
- As necessary, assist the Production team with updates in SOR including: Stylemaster and PO level updates.
COMPETENCIES:
- Highly organized & self-motivated
- Competent in respectful email communication
- Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Should be an expert in forwarding thinking and should possess problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in progress
- Strong organizational abilities and proficiency in Excel.
- Supply Chain and or Merchandising curriculum preferred, but not required
- Work experience with organizational tasks (ex. Organizing a stockroom of a retail store) and light labor preferred (lifting boxes approximately 25-50lbs).
