The Special Markets Specialist is the lead for the company as it pertains to licensed customers. The Special Markets Sales Specialist will work in conjunction with the Peter Millar Director and VP of Special Markets to grow the licensed business, maintain all existing accounts and is solely responsible for vetting and acquiring new accounts. They will be the lead to increase revenue, efficiency and brand awareness within these accounts and special markets. These markets include but are not limited to Collegiate, MLB, Specialty Retail and LSR.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Independently research, contact and attain new accounts.
- Lead the support efforts for licensed relationships with Specialty Retail and Golf accounts.
- Build relationships with existing accounts and associations
- Identify areas of opportunity for new accounts and associations
- Autonomously plan & execute in store trunk shows each season; Parent’s Weekend, Homecoming, high profile football and basketball games.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, as needed.
- Lead the teaching of product knowledge and drive brand awareness in store with associates to enhance their selling skills to drive sales.
- Merchandise floors according to focus of buys and inventory and suggesting and implementing and necessary changes.
- Create a regularly updated calendar outlining planned travel for events pertaining to special markets
COMPETENCIES:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, Proactive
- Be comfortable with building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
EDUCATION:
- BA or BS, or equivalent, in related field.
