The Senior Manager of Outbound Fulfillment GSN is responsible for overseeing the daily outbound and cresting operations within the TaylorMade North America Fulfillment Center. The goal of this position will be to standardize processes and optimize service from planning to outbound shipment and to unlock opportunities to grow the brands recognition for service and execution. This is an onsite position located in Evansville, IN, reporting to the Director of NAM Fulfillment GSN.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Leads, builds, develops, and motivates a strong team of individuals to perform at the highest level; facilitates and fosters a continuous learning and collaborative environment within the team across multiple shifts.
- Manages the outbound operations for all shifts of TaylorMade North American fulfillment center. Provides expert level support on relevant activities by identifying goals, developing plans, estimating time frames and monitoring progress.
- Responsible for overseeing the daily flow and efficiency of the operations including but not limited to picking, sort, VAS, outbound shipping and cresting.
- Monitors, reports, and develop all key productivity indicators (KPI) to support and analyze the outbound activities of picking, sorting, VAS, wave planning, cresting, etc.
- Responsible for collaboration and coordination with the transportation team and provides support for outbound volumes including LTL (less than truck load), FTL (full truck load), and small parcel shipments.
- Leads cresting operation to ensure the highest levels of service and execution.
- Follow up to ensure chargebacks from Strategic Accounts and Mass Merchant customers are kept to a minimum and issues corrected timely
- Provides coaching & develop staff in effective use of quality and inventory control tools such as Root Cause Counter Measure (RCCM), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) & Statistical Process Control SPC)
- Develop ideas to support continuous improvement, operational efficiencies, 6S, and safety goals.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse systems and processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels.
- Ability to accurately assess talent and effectively motivate and influence others to build skills, efficiently accomplish tasks, and develop leading edge processes.
- Ability to think big picture and strategically to continuously evolve operations and processes
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7-10 years of experience in high-throughput, consumer goods warehouse environment.
- 10+ years of experience in supervisory or people management role.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Normal office and warehouse conditions; exposure to noise, dirt, dust and temperatures
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary, including weekends.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Some travel may be required.
