Job Title: Golf Travel Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Golf Travel Manager to join our team. This role involves planning, organising, and managing bespoke golf travel experiences for individual clients, groups, and corporate organisations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of international and UK golf destinations, exceptional customer service skills, and a background in travel planning or hospitality management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trip Planning & Coordination:
- Design and coordinate customized golf travel itineraries, including tee times, accommodations, transportation, dining, and off-course activities.
- Client Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through post-trip follow-up. Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-value clients.
- Vendor Relations:
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with golf courses, resorts, hotels, tour operators, and transportation services globally.
- Sales & Marketing Support:
- Assist in the development of marketing campaigns, attend golf/travel expos, and contribute to promotional content showcasing golf packages and destinations.
- Event Management:
- Oversee the planning and execution of group golf events, tournaments, and corporate outings, both domestically and internationally.
- Budget & Reporting:
- Prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, and deliver financial reporting on trip profitability and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in travel planning, hospitality, or event management (golf-specific experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of popular golf destinations (e.g., Scotland, Ireland, Spain, USA, Dubai, Southeast Asia)
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in travel booking tools, CRM systems, and Google Workspace
- Passion for golf and understanding of the game, culture, and traveller expectations
- Ability to travel as needed, including hosting or overseeing trips on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in luxury travel or sports tourism
- Existing industry contacts with golf resorts, tour operators, or clubs
- Experience using platforms like Xero, Google Suite, or similar software

Golf Travel Manager – Roles and Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry through post-trip feedback
- Understand client preferences, budgets, and goals to design tailored golf travel experiences
- Provide expert recommendations on golf courses, resorts, and destination activities
- Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after trips
Trip Planning & Coordination
- Design and manage end-to-end golf travel itineraries, including:
- Tee time reservations
- Lodging and resort accommodations
- Ground and air transportation
- Dining and excursions
- Monitor trip logistics and make real-time adjustments as needed
- Coordinate group and individual trips, including corporate outings and tournaments
Vendor & Partner Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with golf courses, hotels, and tour operators
- Negotiate rates and secure preferred partner agreements
- Ensure all third-party providers meet service expectations and brand standards
Sales & Business Development
- Respond to new leads and convert inquiries into booked trips
- Identify upsell opportunities (e.g., club rentals, spa treatments, guided tours)
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote golf travel packages
- Represent the company at trade shows, golf events, and industry gatherings
Event Planning & On-Site Management
- Plan and manage special golf events, including tournaments, clinics, and team-building programs
- Travel to key destinations to host or supervise trips, ensuring flawless execution
- Manage group dynamics and serve as the client liaison while on-site
Administrative & Financial Oversight
- Prepare quotes, invoices, and travel documentation
- Track budgets, trip costs, and profit margins
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and booking systems
- Provide regular reporting on booking volume, client satisfaction, and vendor performance
Market & Destination Knowledge
- Stay current on emerging golf destinations, trends, and course rankings
- Visit and evaluate properties and courses to assess quality and suitability
- Advise clients based on firsthand knowledge and industry insights
