Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with expertise in retail merchandising and retail master data to join our team. This role involves analyzing business needs, designing SAP solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize merchandising processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail operations, SAP modules (such as retail master data, MM, SD, and Pricing and Promotions), and a proven track record of implementing solutions that drive business value.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Analyze and document business requirements related to merchandising processes, including purchasing, pricing, inventory management, and sales.
· Configure, implement, and support SAP solutions tailored to merchandising functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
· Collaborate with stakeholders across merchandising, supply chain, and IT to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
· Provide end-to-end SAP solution design, including functional specifications, workflows, and integration with other systems.
· Lead or participate in testing activities, including test script development, unit testing, and user acceptance testing.
· Deliver training and documentation for end users to ensure effective adoption of SAP functionalities.
· Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues in a timely manner, minimizing disruptions to business operations.
· Stay updated on SAP innovations and retail industry trends to recommend improvements and optimize existing solutions
Qualifications and Skills Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field; SAP certification preferred.
· 7+ years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant, with a focus on merchandising modules (e.g., MM, SD, or SAP Retail).
· Strong knowledge of merchandising processes, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
· Experience in 1 or 2 S/4 implementation or conversion projects.
· Proven ability to analyze business needs and translate them into SAP functional solutions.
· Experience with system integration and data migration within SAP environments.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
· Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP IS Retail or SAP CAR.
· Familiarity with retail-specific processes and challenges.
· Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
· Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.
Travel:
· No travel is required.
