Position Overview
As a Staff Cafeteria Attendant at Cabot Cape Breton, you are the face of our team’s staff meal experience, providing an essential service with a friendly and professional demeanour. You offer our employees a warm welcome and a selection of lunch/dinner options throughout the day. Your responsibilities include maintaining excellent customer service standards, engaging positively with the team, and overseeing daily operations of the facility. Your attention to detail in keeping the staff cafeteria well-stocked, clean, and organized, adds to the overall satisfaction of our team at Cabot Cape Breton.

Preferred qualifications and
skills:
- High
School Diploma or Certificate
- Experience
in Food & Beverage or Retail sales
- Be
of legal age to sell alcohol in Nova Scotia (19 years)
- Driver’s
license preferred
- Nova
Scotia Serve Right beverage service program or equivalent
Requirements of the role you
should be aware of:
- Based on the nature of our business and
the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a
criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional
criminal background check every two years.
- A Nova Scotia Safe Food Handlers
Certificate or Equivalent
- As a seasonal resort business, you can
anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Ability to spend long hours moving
around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching.
- Exerting up to 50 lbs of force
occasionally, and/or up to 25 lbs of force frequently or constantly lift,
carry, push, or otherwise move objects.
- Occasional ascending or descending stairs
and ramps.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling,
lifting.
