The Ball Planning Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule for custom and stock golf balls. This position is responsible for submitting weekly buys in support of NAM forecast needs while managing overall inventories on a monthly basis. This position independently manages inventory levels, production builds and purchase orders, and proactively works to identify and resolve gaps. This position acts as a liaison between Purchasing, Sales Operations, and Production to ensure necessary supply chain priorities are in place to support NAM sales forecast. This individual will be expected to appropriately assess supply-demand situations and be able to make recommendations in order to optimize revenue and service targets. The ability to gauge risk-reward scenarios and optimize outcomes is a key attribute for this role.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains the Master Production Schedule for golf balls in accordance with sales forecasts.
- Manages the Golf Ball Materials Requirements Plan (MRP) which generates Purchase requisitions for all NAM buys.
- Proactively identifies and resolves conflicts regarding material and capacity availability and ATP integrity.
- Ensures planning system parameters including safety stock, supply allocations & lead times are planned accurately.
- Manages inventory levels, actioning both shortages & excess in partnership with sales & suppliers alike.
- Utilizes Planning Central (Oracle) to reconcile supply and demand through scenario planning & exception reporting.
- Analyzes back-order status and creates supply plan to recover, in turn providing ATP promising for Sales team.
- Partners with Regional Sales on the product lifecycle of golf balls sold in NAM, from inception to End of Life sales.
- Aligns with Finance & Sales team on monthly revenue, supply & margin targets specific to Golf Balls.
- Collaborates with production team, providing unit forecast enabling daily, weekly & monthly production scheduling.
- Follows the flow of materials from Procurement through incoming receipt and inspection to ensure workflow.
- Drives continuous improvement through collaboration with operations, planning, and sales teams.
- Creates and aligns open to buy and freight plans and manages within budget.
- Supports monthly SIOP, Inventory Reviews, and OTB reviews.
- Performs other responsibilities as required
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong Excel and data management skills required.
- Knowledge of MRP software.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional and constructive cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks is required.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, evaluate, and effectively present ideas and concepts.
- Proven analytical skills, with good understanding of math and statistics.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to attend to multiple concurrent priorities.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Passion for sports required, with passion/interest/knowledge for golf strongly preferred.
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Finance, Statistics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in scheduling/planning; inventory management; or production/material control.
- Experience with MRP systems (Oracle and Planning Central) preferred.
- Experience with repetitive Just-In-Time (JIT) systems desirable preferred.
- Golf industry knowledge/experience strongly preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Normal office conditions
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary
- Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
- Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time
TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annualbase pay range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
