Core responsibilities include turf maintenance, encompassing mowing schedules for all areas of the golf course using Toro and Jacobsen machinery, as well as the application of fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides. Irrigation is managed through a sprinkler system to ensure optimal turf health. In 2024, I oversaw the construction of the back nine of the Pines Golf Club, including greens, fairways, bunkers, and tees, and installed the irrigation system for the entire 18-hole course. I also manage turf equipment, supervising mechanics and providing support. Irrigation management involves precise watering to maintain optimal soil moisture using water sources, pump stations, distribution systems, control valves, and control systems. Additionally, I handle office management tasks, including liaising with diplomats, organizing golf events, and managing VVIP protocol. I also serve as an Admin Officer and manage the stores, maintaining records and inventory.
About
Manager Golf Course (Operations & Maintenance) at Pines Golf Club, Bahria Golf City Islamabad (Bahria Town (Pvt.) Ltd) since May 2015, formally appointed in 2021. Responsibilities extend beyond the initial scope to meet departmental needs. Reported directly to Ex Director Golf Course, Mr. George, and Sr. Architect/GM Golf Course Mr. Glenn, demonstrating a strong interest in all operational aspects of the golf course.
