About
Dear Sir/Madam,
Please forgive the general style of this letter, but I believe, as an experienced, loyal and passionate (about the right job!), 56-year-old, ex head of ticketing, who is looking for the next permanent career move. I bring a lot of transferrable qualities that will appeal to you.
I have taken the first steps into the golfing world in terms of employment over the last year, but Golf is a passion, having spent many years organising Charity Golf Days, Golf Societies, and having been lucky enough to have played at some of the premier clubs in southern England, including Swinley Forest, Sunningdale, Wentworth etc. I know my way round a golf course and understand what is required administratively within the golf industry, having been a member at West Kent Golf Club as well.
I have ticketing, membership and event operations experience, know my way around a spreadsheet, understand I&E ; P&L and have managed a budget for many years, sat on many committees, and therefore understand the requirements of them, added to 37 years of administrative experience, then I bring a lot of attractive qualities to a golf club, with my Members Club Background and my current Reception/Society administration roles.
I live in Bromley, but would be prepared to consider relocation if required, and have the relevant members club and events background to make this job a success.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Simon Wakefield
