SUMMARY:
Perform fitness services according to PCC Fitness Center Procedures. This may include: teaching group fitness classes, individual personal training, set-up and maintain the Fitness Center and equipment. Respond to Member and Guest needs and requests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required and a minimum of one year related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have nationally recognized Yoga Certification, Pilates Certification, Group Fitness or Personal Training Certification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification required, or become certified within 60 days of hire.
- Computer software experience.
- Strong understanding of good health habits and exercise.
- Ability to manage time, fitness classes, and duty schedule with minimal supervision.
- Promote fitness programs through presentations or resort events when requested.
- Teach a variety of yoga classes, pilates classes or other fitness activities as required.
- Monitor member/ guest activities in the fitness area and offer guidance and assistance especially on safe and effective use of the equipment.
- Set-up and maintain the fitness area and equipment according to standard operating procedures, including but not limited to linen usage, sanitation and safety.
- Ensure that all equipment is in proper working order.
- Maintain knowledge of hours of operations and services of the resort.
