As Digital and Marketing Manager, the successful applicant will play a key role in the success of the organisation and our overall perception in the marketplace. This Digital and Marketing Manager will generate compelling marketing and brand strategies and facilitate their execution and lead our marketing and branding efforts across both our golf and hotel operations, working with our senior management team and third parties with passion and enthusiasm.
Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Build thought-out marketing strategies to help achieve the overarching business goals. Develop, manage, monitor and implement the business marketing strategy in line with the company vision
- Own the digital marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and commercial priorities
- Lead the performance and optimisation of all digital channels, including website, SEO, paid media, email automation, social media, digital advertising and CRM
- Ensure digital content is optimised for visibility, engagement and performance across search and social channels
- Develop the organisation’s data and analytics capability, setting KPIs, monitoring performance and making data-led recommendations
- Act as guardian for the brand and visual identity internally and externally
- Overseeing the overall execution of ongoing and one-off campaigns and ultimately owning KPIs
- Responsible for the sign-off of day-to-day brand and marketing activities
- Strong creative sensibilities with a strong eye for design – able to work with stakeholders consultatively to ensure the integrity of the visual identity with ultimate responsibility for external creative agencies
- Identifying appropriate new and emerging markets
- Integrating marketing strategies across departments, locations and channels to ensure any given activity is thought out, intentional, and maximised across the board
- Ongoing review of all products and services, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and positioned appropriately
- Responsibility for the brand position of Carnoustie over all channels both internal and external. Working closely with all departments to ensure brand buy-in and understanding
- Working closely with the management team to ensure commercial opportunities are maximised throughout the business
- A passion for innovation and the desire to take responsibility for a small team
- Managing direct reports and owning their professional development.
- Allocation of marketing budget to maximise return on investment
- Development of smarter customer segments and strategies to interact with them
- Delivery of accurate reports, including tracking, measuring and reporting performance against KPIs
- Facilitate constant improvement to our physical and digital footprint

- Essential Skills & Behaviours:
- Masters Degree in International Marketing or other Marketing relevant Degree qualification
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- 3 years minimum experience in a similar role
- Robust understanding of marketing and brand
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Digital marketing competence
- Highly organised and strong project management skills
- A collaborative team player - concerned with team success as well as performance

- International marketing experience
- Experience creating video content
- Creative brand development and storytelling ability
