GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor or Lead Person, performs duties related to the operation of various machines in accordance with specified drawings and procedures. The operation includes hand feeding steel and aluminum piece parts into grinding and deburr stations, and loading assorted fixtures with various piece parts to perform drill, ream, countersink, and mill functions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Performs machine operations on various piece parts as instructed by designated set-up associates and crew leader.
•Performs quality checks by comparison to an acceptable piece part or by gauging and fills coolant reservoirs as instructed.
•Ensures quality standards are met by following specified inspection procedures to identify dimensional defects and any missing or incomplete machining steps.
•Reports all non-conforming part conditions and equipment or tool malfunctions to the crew leader/supervisor.
•Completes daily performance sheet and produces parts at desired efficiencies or notifies crew leader/supervisor or any barriers preventing production at standard level.
•Complies with all safety rules and guidelines while observing the use of all prescribed safety equipment.
•Maintains safe and productive work environment by assuring the work area is clear of tools, brooms and other items that may present a hazard. Keeps floor free of oil by applying oil absorbent to spills and sweeping.
•Performs other related duties as required.

- Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
Experience:
- Previous CNC experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and production instructions.
- Previous experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Previous experience in a fast-paced industrial or fabrication setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing.
- Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.
