SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is to understand and perform minor mechanical work on engines, hydraulic systems, drive train systems and electrical systems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
- Must provide own tools.
- Perform service and repair on all vehicles.
- Must be open to learn and repair golf course equipment.
- Performs minor mechanical rebuilding, diagnosing of engines, hydraulic systems, drive train systems and electrical systems. To be able to perform work with some supervision.
- Locates causes of trouble, dismantles engines, and examines parts for defects.
- Replaces or repairs parts such as rings and bearings.
- Cleans and adjusts carburetor and magneto.
- Starts repaired engines and listens to sounds to test performance

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
