Job Description
- Proactively and reactively sell to new and existing accounts to exceed revenue targets through calls, site visits, and networking.
- Coordinate golf events from planning to execution, ensuring seamless logistics and guest satisfaction.
- Promote additional services such as branded merchandise, private lessons, and exclusive golf experiences.
- Liaise with internal departments (Golf, F&B, Rooms, Maintenance) to ensure optimal staffing, setup, and service delivery.
- Conduct site inspections and sales presentations to showcase golf facilities.
- Actively participate in daily briefings and operational meetings.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, corporate clients, civic groups, and charity organizations.
- Develop and manage key golf wholesale accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and event files.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of golf operations, tournament formats, tee time management, and resort services.
- Monitor business forecasts and adjust staffing, productivity, and costs accordingly.
- Represent SO/ Sotogrande at international golf trade shows (e.g. IGTM, PGA Merchandise Show) to promote the resort and negotiate agreements with golf groups, tour operators, and specialized agencies.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales within luxury hospitality, golf resorts, or sports event management.
- Strong knowledge of the golf industry and its commercial dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (C1 level); additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Opera, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays based on event schedules.
