About this role:
The USGA has partnered with its Allied Golf Associations (AGAs) to make it easier for a golfer to get a Handicap Index® allowing the USGA to market and grow AGA membership through the USGA/AGA GC “GC” channel. The GC provides an easy onboarding and renewal process that facilitates obtaining AGA membership and a Handicap Index, while connecting golfers with their local AGA for additional benefits. The USGA is responsible for administering the GC registration by matching golfers with their local AGA and facilitating registration/renewal transactions.
We are seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented professional to support our GC membership registration program. As the Coordinator, GC Membership Support, you will serve as a key point of contact for golfer inquiries, providing timely help desk responses and general administrative support. This role includes monitoring registrations, managing member data, assisting with membership systems and reporting, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
What you'll do:
- Customer Support
- Respond promptly and professionally to incoming member questions related to membership, renewals, account access and payments
- Utilize HubSpot as the support ticketing system to log each interaction for KPIs and reporting
- Escalate member inquiries when necessary, ensuring a seamless resolution process
- Monitor support queues and follow up with members to ensure satisfaction
- Review and process refunds, cancellations and account changes according to policy
- Maintain and update the membership database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Administrative Tasks
- Support membership renewals, and onboarding communication efforts
- Prepare/run basic reports on member inquiries and feedback trends
- Assist in the creation and management of macros or standard replies to improve response efficiency
- Assist in implementation and collection of membership surveys and evaluations
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of reports on membership activity and engagement
- Provide general administrative and project support to the USGA Handicap Administration team as needed
Where you'll be:
This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday.
What you bring:
- 1-3+ years of experience in customer support or help desk roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, tactful approach to member inquiries
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, virtual environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and support tools like Hubspot, Zendesk or similar platforms
- Familiarity with web-based systems and CRMs; experience with subscription billing tools (e.g., Stripe) is a plus
- Experience working with the USGA or an Allied Golf Association is a plus

Job Location: Liberty Corner, NJ
Salary Range: $50,000 - $58,000
The annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $58,000. This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications.
