We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and forward-thinking PGA Head Professional to join and lead the golf operations at Brighton & Hove Golf Club.
The successful candidate will be a strong ambassador for the club and play a key role in enhancing our coaching programmes, pro shop offering and overall member and visitor experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Fully qualified PGA Professional
· Proven experience in a similar role (Head Professional or Senior Assistant)
· Strong track record in teaching and coaching players of all levels
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Business-minded with strong commercial awareness
· Organised, reliable, and self-motivated
· Proficient in golf management systems
· Retail and merchandising experience essential
Teaching & Coaching:
· Deliver high-quality individual and group coaching sessions for all ages and abilities
· Develop junior and ladies coaching programmes
· Work closely with the club to support member engagement through coaching clinics and events
· Use modern coaching technologies and practices to enhance player development
Business Development:
· Promote golf tuition and services to members, visitors, and the local community
· Create and manage initiatives to grow participation and member retention
· Collaborate with the Club Manager and committee on marketing and promotional campaigns
· Act as a key figure in the growth of the club’s reputation and offering
General Administration:
· Support the club’s day-to-day golf operations
· Manage competitions and handicap’s
· Maintain accurate records and manage lesson bookings and diaries
· Contribute to the strategic development of the club’s golf services
Retail Management:
· Manage and operate the pro shop, including staffing, stock control and merchandising
· Deliver an excellent retail experience for members and visitors
· Offer equipment advice and custom fitting using appropriate technology
· Work with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and product range
