St Andrews Links is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and analytical Internal Auditor to join our team in a newly created role. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of our Internal Audit function, providing assurance and support across a diverse and high-profile organisation.
Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering assurance on the design and effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes. You will conduct risk-based audit reviews across financial, operational, and compliance areas, and provide advisory support to enhance business operations and mitigate risk. In doing so, you will support senior management and Trustees, via the Audit and Risk Committee, in making informed decisions on internal controls and risk management.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the Home of Golf, supporting St Andrews Links Trust, a charitable trust responsible for managing and maintaining the seven Links courses at St Andrews — including the world-famous Old Course, host to The Open a record 30 times. With a team of around 500 employees at peak season, we are a diverse and dynamic organisation committed to delivering an exceptional experience to everyone who visits or interacts with us.
We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the confidence to challenge and influence constructively. Although we welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills, previous experience in an audit environment is essential.
At St Andrews Links, we understand that flexibility is important, we therefore welcome applications from those seeking part-time hours or alternative working patterns.
