PGA Head Professional – Seacroft Golf Club
Seacroft GC seeks a retained Head Professional to deliver a variety of services to the club’s members, guests, and visitors.
Seacroft GC is a private members’ club and Championship links course located on the East coast, renowned for its consistently firm playing conditions. Thanks to one of the driest climates in Britain, the course delivers an excellent golfing experience on natural tees and greens all year round. Bordering the famous Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, Seacroft is also recognised as a Natural England Site of Special Scientific Interest, creating a distinctive and inspiring environment for both play and work.
The Head Professional role at Seacroft GC centres on delivering services such as coaching, retail operations, golf administration, and competition management. A key focus will be on providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will act as the club’s ambassador and will have an excellent opportunity to build and grow a successful business within a vibrant and supportive club environment.

Key responsibilities:
Golf operations
Key services for the Head Professional to deliver include managing daily golf operations, from tee time coordination to competitions and member services. They will oversee competition and handicapping administration in line with club policies and WHS regulations. The role offers the flexibility to shape how these services are delivered, reflecting the Head Professional’s expertise and approach as a retained contractor.
Coaching & player development
The successful candidate will have exclusive coaching rights and provide coaching services to members and visitors, delivering both individual and group sessions. The club will support the Head Professional to design and promote structured coaching programmes, including junior academies and beginner pathways, tailored to the needs of the club and across the membership.
Retail & business development
This role offers the opportunity to manage and operate the Professional Shop, overseeing purchasing, merchandising, and stock control to ensure efficient daily operations. The services required to be delivered involve providing expert retail advice on equipment, apparel, and accessories to maximise customer satisfaction, as well as managing buggy and trolley rentals with commission-based incentives. In addition, the postholder will actively drive business growth by promoting coaching and retail services through social media, digital platforms, and member communications.
Administration & club support
The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager and Committees to support the club’s strategic goals, ensuring all activities align with the broader vision and objectives. Additionally, the successful candidate will service all aspects of competition administration, including handling entries, preparing scorecards, recording results, and overseeing prize distribution.
Required skills & qualifications
· Current PGA Member.
· Experience in a similar role.
· Demonstrated experience in coaching, capable of providing coaching to individuals with different levels of experience.
· Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
· Commercial acumen in managing retail and coaching operations.
· Proficiency in Trackman, Intelligent Golf, WHS.
· Passionate about golf, service excellence, and continuous professional development.
