Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Work closely with The R&A and IMG Partnerships team to deliver contractual rights to partners across The R&A’s portfolio.
- Required to build relationships with Patrons, Official Suppliers, key clients and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure innovative and professional client servicing standards are maintained.
- Assisting in the successful delivery of all contractual Patron & Official Supplier sponsorship rights including but not limited to: Hospitality, Print, Digital and Broadcast Media and Experiential.
- Assist in formulating partner activation plans to deliver partner campaigns to a high level of performance.
- Support the tracking and evaluation of each partnership to both The R&A and the partner.
- Provide support on all Patron and Official Supplier related queries. Ensure that all R&A departments are engaged in the partnerships and provide the necessary support to deliver against partner objectives, with constant communication and internal and external collaboration.
- Work closely with the R&A Championship team and IMG Partnerships delivery team on all Patron/ Official Supplier related rights delivery and event planning, staging and operational aspects at The Open and AIG Women’s Open.
- Ensure the needs of Patrons, Official Suppliers are met and that a robust understanding of partner brands and businesses exist.
- Manage pre-meeting activities and debriefs on a regular basis with Patrons and Official Suppliers.
- Be on-site at The Open and AIG Women’s Open (and other events as requested) to assist in partner rights delivery.
- Ensure that The Open and AIG Women’s Open brand identities are fully implemented and correctly used across all Patron and Official Supplier activations.
- Assist with daily administration tasks required for partner deliverables, including Patron manuals and partner bios.
- Identification of new opportunities for partners within their core area of focus with particular attention on digital rights and branded content.
- Assist in the creation of sales presentations and materials to assist with partner renewals and new partner acquisition.
- Support diary management, travel support, expense processing for the IMG Partnerships team
- Collate and distribute meeting minutes, weekly meeting agendas.
- Support with regular reporting on activity back The R&A
- Work with Office Admin on visitor passes and meeting room bookings for external meeting guests.
- Assist with the delivery of all day-to-day partner (Patron & Official Supplier) contractual rights, develop new and creative ways to optimise relationships and create value for all parties.
- The Partnership Coordinators will support the Director - Commercial Partnerships, The R&A and R&A Partnership Managers in growing The R&A’s Partnership Programme through renewals and acquisition.
- The coordinators will support the IMG’s dedicated R&A partnerships team in securing new partners across The R&A’s portfolio.
Unusual Challenges or Circumstances
- Regular weekend work where you may be required to travel to events domestically and internationally.
- Outside of event travel there will be a requirement to travel for meetings as part of the role.
- Able to commit to periods away from home, primarily in St Andrews, Scotland.

- Knowledge and experience of working in sponsorship account management.

Working Conditions
- This fixed-term role will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
- May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
- Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
- Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
