PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking a Staff Research Engineer that will focus on prototype development, design of experiments, and the identification and evaluation of advanced manufacturing processes. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL:
- Seek, identify, and evaluate technology, manufacturing, and process solutions that enable and promote advancements in club performance and development.
- Concept and prototype development including CAD/CAE work and working with internal and supplier teams to create physical prototype parts.
- Applies research theories, principles, and models when conducting experiments and research activities.
- Summarizes research results and communicates findings to internal and external bodies.
- Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures projects are on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with other departments to achieve smooth integration of emerging technologies into new product design cycles.
- Have the ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a properly accredited University, preferably in an Engineering or Science discipline plus a minimum of two years’ experience, preferably within the Golf Industry; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree in Engineering or related field is preferred. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Working knowledge of CAD and golf-related manufacturing processes (g. casting, forging, composites manufacturing, tool design, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team skills with the ability to gain consensus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, focus and lead business meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate a very high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
- High level of computer literacy of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High level of familiarity with PING, Inc. product line, the game of golf and the Golf Industry.
