Under the direction of the Director, Capital Administration & Budgeting, the Financial Analyst will ensure that all capital expenditures are recorded properly. Responsibilities include performing monthly pay application reconciliations for general contractors and other direct vendors, reviewing the accuracy of coding costs to projects, and making corrections, as necessary. Act as Power User of the Club's project management software and assist users, as necessary. Assist with month-end close by performing reconciliation between the Club's project management software to ERP. Assist with the monthly project closeout process.
This role is based in Augusta, GA, and requires the employee to be on-site full-time.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Responsible for collaborating with stakeholders and gathering necessary documentation and approvals for project close-out. Prepare project closeout journal entries, proposed fixed assets, and run depreciation.
- Maintain the General Contractor (GC) Tracker and verify pay applications are accrued, as necessary. Verify the GC schedule of values agrees to the schedule of values in the Club’s project management software prior to processing and that all invoices for goods/services under contract are processed correctly.
- Prepare reporting for monthly capital meetings with Business Owners. Record meeting minutes from Business Owner meetings and follow up with stakeholders on action items.
- Prepare quarterly plan vs. actual project capital cash flow report.
- Ensure all project capital contracts and master-service agreements (MSA) are stored in contract software.
- Gather project documents and submit to external consultants preparing cost segregation studies.
- Prepare monthly expense project cost and depreciation variance analysis reports.
- Assist with compliance and accuracy of campus-wide asset tagging program.
- Prepare Long-Range Plan (LRP) Authorization Request, as necessary.
- Generate monthly project management report from the Club’s project management software and distribution to project stakeholders.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and improvement processes.
- Trains others on responsibilities and how to accomplish tasks.
- Ensures effective running of processes, programs, and projects.

Qualifications:
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:
- Knowledge of construction accounting principles, including pay applications and job costing
- Proficiency in using financial management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical skills and proven track record to follow through on action items to completion.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working with large volumes of data.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Relative Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- 2 – 4 years of experience in the construction industry
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
Required License(s):
- Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program.
Projected Work Schedule:
Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
