Position Summary: The IT Business Solutions Manager is responsible for IT service delivery and support to TaylorMade Facilities in Korea. S/He manages operational processes and supports business strategies by overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of application systems. The position leads multiple projects and supervises developers and vendors to ensure specifications are met. Responsibilities include making strategic decisions impacting the functional area of responsibility in Korea, developing the Korea IT budget, and resolving complex operational issues that require coordination with other departments or regions.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures stable IT operations following Global IT policies.
- Gathers and analyses business demands for IT systems and application support.
- Manages IT small/medium size projects in Korea to support business growth and efficiency improvement.
- Manage external contractors and service provider activities and relationships.
- Prepare IT budget and ensure the maintenance of all IT assets.
- Responsible for day-to-day local Infrastructure provision and escalated technical support services.
- Coordinate and lead regular alignment with the Global team
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge of modern IT operational and service models
- Ability and experience to translate business requirements into cost efficient (IT) solutions
- Good knowledge and experience of IT service management and project management
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop and nurture good relationships with IT and business colleagues
- Experience in working with global teams
- Pro-active mind-set with ability to think end to end with a global mind-set
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects in parallel with different teams
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- At least 10 years of successful hands-on IT operations, user support, with highly developed customer-focused skills
- University degree or equivalent
- Native Korean and Fluent English (written & oral)
- Strong Service Management skills (ITIL certification and PMP will be a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with end users.
- Experience in working with global teams
- Pro-active mind-set with ability to think end to end with a global mind-set
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects in parallel with different teams.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
- Light physical effort equals frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
Oversea and local travel may be required
