About the Opportunity:
The Golf Academy Associate role is a dynamic, customer-facing role responsible for selling golf lessons and delivering exceptional service to Academy clients. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about growing the game, enjoys engaging with customers of all ages, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented golf environment. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and excited to contribute to a high-quality player development experience. Should business levels permit, this role has the potential to support the instructional team by providing teaching for junior programming, group classes, and special events.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Service
- Serve as a main point of contact for golf lesson clients, delivering friendly and professional service at every stage of the customer journey
- Sell and manage bookings for private lessons, group programs, and junior clinics
- Handle client communication via phone, email, and in person, ensuring timely follow-up and high satisfaction, escalating issues when appropriate
- Upsell lesson packages and seasonal offerings to maximize revenue and participation
- Maintain accurate client records and lesson information using CRM and scheduling platforms
- Process point-of-sale transactions for lessons, camps, range sessions, and other services
- Coordinate with desk, operations, and coaching staff to ensure smooth scheduling, payments, and logistics
(If business levels permit) Instructional Support
- Provide a welcoming and encouraging environment for participants of all ages and skill levels
- Offer feedback to clients and parents, when appropriate, in coordination with Golf Professionals
- Help ensure instructional quality and safety standards are upheld at all times
- Contribute ideas to improve programming structure, participation, and customer retention
- Set up and break down equipment and teaching stations before and after sessions
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for golf and experience playing the game
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Prior experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during events as needed
- Capable of multitasking and staying organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using technology such as booking systems, CRM platforms, or POS tools
- Basic knowledge of golf swing fundamentals and lesson structures
- Familiarity with selling lesson packages, memberships, or event programming, preferred but not necessary
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified)
- Friendly, engaging personality with a team-oriented attitude
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Passion for growing the game and creating a fun, inclusive golf environment
