IGC is currently seeking a Head Golf Professional to join its team.
Responsibilities include leading the management and performance of golf operations and services ensuring high standards to achieve member and employee partner satisfaction; overseeing fiscal responsibilities for all golf areas including planning, forecasting, budget development, management, and accurate reporting; designing and implementing performance strategies that promote a positive workplace, enhance employee retention, and improve overall member satisfaction; hiring, training, and evaluating new golf operations staff; creating and implementing exciting tournaments and programming while maintaining the current traditions of the club; building upon an exceptional teaching program by keeping current on game improving technology and equipment; providing golf instruction to members; effectively communicating with members about new merchandise, newsletters, events, winners, course maintenance schedules, and staff accomplishments; representing the Club professionally within the Charlotte community.
Qualifications include a minimum of five years of progressive experience at clubs known for a high-quality golf experience or strong tenure as First Assistant ready to take the next step; Class A or B PGA member; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
