We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure, ensuring the efficient processing and storage of large datasets. You will work closely with senior data engineers and other stakeholders to implement data solutions that drive business insights and decision-making. This role will have an organisation-wide remit to support multiple platforms, technologies, and teams and will serve as a link between the rest of the organisation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver, confident communicator between technical and non-technical teams and will always remain aware of trust’s strategic vision. The successful candidate will possess entry level skills with a history of supporting and maintaining systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of the CRM system (Dynamics 365), data pipelines and ETL processes in an Azure environment.
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimise data storage and retrieval systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Support the integration of data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of data engineering best practices.
- Document data processes and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Performance Tuning: Optimise data systems for performance, scalability, and efficiency, ensuring that data processing and query response times are minimised.
- Data Security and Compliance: Ensure that all data solutions comply with security policies, governance standards, and privacy regulations.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data solutions that meet those needs.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support for data pipelines and systems, troubleshooting issues and resolving them promptly.
- Documentation & Reporting: Document architecture, data workflows, and processes to ensure that team members and stakeholders have a clear understanding of the data engineering solutions in place.

Preferred Experience
- Experience / Exposure to data engineering techniques, ideally within a hyperscaler ecosystem.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.
- Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience explaining complex systems to non-technical audiences, encouraging adoption and leading change management.
- Proven ability to collaborate with marketing, Legal, Data, IT and Engineering teams.
- Good understanding of Golf, Golf Travel, Hospitality the competitive landscape preferred.
