PING, Inc., maker of PING golf equipment, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist that supports PING’s EHS programs including federal, state and local regulations. Assists facility personnel with applicable projects and programs to promote a safe and healthy workplace free from recognized environmental and safety hazards. This position is an entry-level position that requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL:
- Support compliance with the requirements of applicable federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Provide administrative support for the EHS department.
- Assist company compliance assurance with the requirements of RCRA, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other areas as assigned.
- Promote PING’s pollution prevention efforts and waste minimization activities.
- Ensure that PING employees are trained as required by applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Complete Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification for operators.
- Perform Industrial Hygiene duties as needed, including air sampling; noise monitoring; fit testing; ergonomic assessments.
- Inspect or evaluate workplace environment, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards and government regulations. Conduct and document job hazard assessments to identify, eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Collaborate with management, recommending measures to help protect employees from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, materials, or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.
- Assist in investigating work-related incidents to determine the root cause, circumstances, contributing factors and corrective actions. Develop recommendations and follow-up procedures with department management to prevent accident recurrence.
- Act as an Emergency Incident Response team member.
- Maintain required regular training and professional training updates to sustain job requirements.
- Work safely at all times and wear proper protective equipment as required.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, or related field, from a properly accredited college or university, plus basic knowledge of federal and state environmental, safety and health regulations and laws promulgated by OSHA, DOT, ADEQ, EPA, and corresponding state and local agencies, OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience working with powered industrial vehicles preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and team skills with ability to build consensus.
- Strong organization, time management and recordkeeping skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- An intermediate level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office: Outlook, TEAMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Basic understanding of Power BI, with the willingness to learn how to create and modify reports and dashboards.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and keep up with the administrative requirements of the position with minimal supervision.
- Ability to be flexible, work with interruptions and shift priorities as required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage and participate in cross-disciplinary business meetings and training sessions.
