The Sr. Sales Data & Visualization Analyst will develop, manage, and analyze the sales data for use in crucial decision-making and growth initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for using emerging Business Intelligence and analytics trends to lead the development of reports and dashboards that drive the sales organization’s Business Intelligence efforts. This will be accomplished through close collaboration with sales and IT teams. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be comfortable understanding the data’s story and conveying that to internal and external sales leadership teams.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop impactful dashboards and visualizations using BI tools with a concentration on Power BI
- Well-versed in sales KPIs and communicating the health of a business by analyzing big data.
- Partner with internal teams on building a data flow to get Callaway product sales data into our dashboards.
- Comfortable presenting and educating sales leadership teams, both internal and external
- Ability to see the data and dashboards through the lens of various consumers.
- Learn the sales data lake and warehouse well enough to identify risks or errors and develop mitigation strategies and resolutions.
- Work as a Power BI and Tableau Administrator
- Work directly with Microsoft and Tableau for support, ticket resolution, enhancements, and tracking.
- Collaborate with the BI team, Category Management, and Sales Leadership on design ideas, layouts, and functionality before and during the development.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to complete projects on time.
- Develop a mobile BI platform for teams to leverage on various devices.
- Drive BI solutions to continually evolve the analytics process from Descriptive to Predictive and Prescriptive
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Strong knowledge of building and using front-end tools such as Power Bi or Tableau
- Extensive knowledge of retail, sales, and marketing KPIs
- Excellent leadership, highly self-motivated, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to see a business need from both a sales and technical perspective and understand the business through the lens of various stakeholders within the sales organization.
- Working knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP), Microsoft Azure (or similar data lake warehousing)
- Comfortable partnering with 3rd party data providers such as SPS Commerce, Golf Datatech, NPD, etc.
- Self-starter that takes the initiative to start and complete assignments without direct supervision.
- Familiarity with coding languages and APIs is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to drive efficiency through automation.
- Experience using Power Automation, Power Apps, or comparable products.
- Golf knowledge a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or other “STEM” programs
- Minimum six years of data analysis and reporting, including experience working with Sales data.
- Minimum four years of working with large databases and data sets.
- Minimum four years of working with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI
