We are currently recruiting for a Greenkeeper/General Operative to join our Greenkeeping team at Galway Golf Club. The successful candidate will work as part of the Greenkeeping Team who maintain the highest standards of presentation and playability across our exceptional golf course and the surrounding grounds.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside Greenkeepers and management to ensure the Golf Course is properly prepared for members and guests to the Club.
- Assist in turf maintenance including mowing and irrigating
- General golf course set up procedures.
- Bunker raking and edging.
- Repairing divots
- All Mower and Equipment operation
- Golf Knowledge Set up.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 Years Experience working on a golf course.
- PA 1,2,6, Spraying Certs (desirable but not essential)
- Hold a current Driver’s Licence.
- Cultural and chemical Knowledge for fine turf Maintenance.
- Machinery, Irrigation, Chemical, Fertilizer knowledge.
- A minimum of a Level 6/7 Greenkeeping Qualification.
- A commitment to hard work
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative
